5 days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Kelaa M’gouna
5 Days Marrakech to Erg Chebbi, We will pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech and head over the High Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate. Outside the city, we’ll visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah and stop for lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon we will drive into the town of Ouarzazate to see the local famous film studios for a photo, and then on to a panoramic view of the Taourirt Kasbah. From here we’ll bring you to Kalaa M’gouna for the night where you can enjoy dinner and rest up for tomorrow.
Day 2: Kelaa M’gouna – Valley of Roses – Dades Gorges – Todra Gorge
After breakfast, we head off towards Todra Gorge. The trip starts through the Valley of Roses then adventures towards an off-road destination with the possibility to visit nomad family living in caves. From here you’ll pass through the amazing rock formations of the Dades Gorge. Lunch will be here at Boulmane du Dades. In the afternoon we continue on to the Todra Gorge where you can take in the towering rock walls and beautiful views. Dinner and overnight are here in a kasbah hotel.
Day 3: Todra Gorge – Tinejdad – Erfoud – Erg Chebbi (Merzouga)
Enjoy your leisurely morning with breakfast followed by a walk through the local palm plantations with views of the Todra River. In the late morning, we’ll head toward Tinjedad for lunch in a local restaurant. The next stop is Erfoud where you will visit a local fossil craft workshop.
Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Kasbah of Tamnaugalt – Ouarzazate
This is an early morning to take advantage of the incredible desert sunrise happening just at the top of the dune. After breakfast, we’ll take you back by camel to the hotel where you can shower and change.
Late morning we will drive back to Ouarzazate via the towns of Rissani, Alnif, N’kob, Agdz. First, you will have time to explore the souk of Rissani and then we will drive you to Alnif, home of trilobite. Later we continue to N’kob for lunch. After lunch, we head toward Agdez and stop for a visit to Kasbah of Tamnaugalt situated on the palm groves of Daraa Valley. For our last leg, we depart for Ouarzazate where you’ll enjoy a local dinner and overnight in a hotel.
Day 5 : Ouarzazate – Telouet – Marrakech
The day starts with breakfast and then a visit to the local Kasbah of Taourirt. In the afternoon we will drive to the Kasbah of Telouet and stop for a visit then we continue to the red city of Marrakech through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude) of the High Atlas Mountains. We’ll arrive in Marrakech and take you to your hotel or your transportation.
