3 days Tour Fes to Desert Itinerary
Day 1: Fes - Azrou (Cedar forest) - Midelt - Erfoud - Merzouga Sahara :
Our 3 day Fez to Merzouga desert tour will depart from your hotel or riad in Fez and drive through the Central Atlas Mountains and cedar forest. Along the way pass the famous ski resort Ifrane and Middelt, famous for its minerals and apples. We continue through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, which is famous for its fossil products and then to Rissani. Then, once we reach the Erg Chebbi Desert, we will meet our desert guide there. We are going to ride a camel across the Merzouga dunes. We like to sleep in the Sahara desert camp. This is the end of the first day of our 3-day desert tour from Fes to Merzouga.
Day 2: Tour around Merzouga desert :
Following breakfast and some rest, we will begin a journey to the desert that will last for about half a day. We will witness the various faces of the desert dunes, the black volcanic rocks, and small communities on the way there. You will travel to Merzouga’s lakes and oasis, Rissani, the first capital of the Alouite dynasty, where you will see some historic castles and well-known markets, and you will get the chance to sample the regional cuisine after Berber. Pizza We’re going to the desert in a 4×4. The camel and mint tea guide will be waiting to take you over the erg-Chebbi sand dunes after a short break. Enjoying the sunset on the camel. You will arrive at the desert camp in two hours. Sleep in a tent like a Berber. Your camel saunters and provides mint tea in your desert haven. After a delectable dinner, spend the night in a Berber tent while admiring the starry sky.
Day 3: Merzouga desert - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Fes :
You will bid the desert farewell today, leaving Fez for Erfoud, a little town famous for sculpting fossils and marble stones, and taking in the stunning Ziz Valley and palm tree vistas all the way to Midelt, another small town famous for its apple industry.
Most likely, you’ll stop for a little break here for lunch at a restaurant or at the nearby village of Zaida.
the Azrou cedar woodland as we make our way back toward Fez. After your arrival in Fez at around 18:00 hours, you check into your accommodation, where our 3-day tour of Fes to the Merzouga Desert comes to a close.
